AKRO AGATE CHILDREN'S GLASS

1 wonderful 1930's child's glass tea set made by the Akro Agate Glass Co of West VA. It is still in its original box as given as a holiday gift (see the gift tag still in the box!).  The box sadly is worse for the wear with the bottom corners needing to be taped and top a flat piece. The inside silver paper covered piece is excellent and holds the dishes in just fine.  The set is the Stippled Band pattern in green. This is a simple pattern with just a band of "dotted" glass around the rim and great Art Deco shape with triangular closed handles.  There are 4 dinner plates, 4 cups and saucers, a covered sugar bowl, a creamer and a covered teapot. This is the original 17 pc set.   The plates are 4 1/4" wide, the cups are 2" wide and 1 3/8" deep, the sugar bottom and creamer are about 1 1/2" tall.  Please note that the sugar bowl has a DOMED lid which is the harder to find version of the lid  SOLD
