1 Twin Teas teapot set made by the Hall China Co here in the USA. These
sets included 2 small teapots. One was for the strong tea of your choice and one
was for the hot water to mix with it. The 2 squat teapots sat on a tray great
for carrying it to the table and as a trivet once it was on the table. This set
dates from about the 1970's. The rectangular HALL mark is shown in the photos.
What's so fun about this set is the colors. It is a combination turquoise and
glossy black set. Each teapot is both colors. I know this to be true since when
I bought the set it was unused and still had the rubbery removeable glue holding
the teapot lids in shape. That seal (which is easily removed with hot water) is
still present on one of the teapots but dried up a bit on the other so I did
lift the lid off(!). The tray is black. The pot for tea is 7 1/4" long from
spout to handle and the water pot is 6 1/2" long. Both teapots are 2 5/8" wide.
The tray is 6 1/4" long and 5 3/4" wide ... $100 set

made by the Hall China Co here in the USA in the 1930's or 40's. The set
includes a Boston shape teapot and a covered sugar bowl and a creamer. What
makes the set so unusual is that it is in Golden Glo, ie a 24K gold glaze that
covers the exterior of all the pieces. The insides have a bright white glossy
glaze. The teapot is 5 1/2" tall and about 9" wide from spout to handle. The
sugar bowl is 3 1/2" tall with the lid on and is 5" wide including the handles.
The creamer is 3" tall and 4 3/8" wide

1 hard to
find vintage teapot made by the Hall China Co here in the USA in the 1930's or
40's. The shape was called Moderne as it has an Art Deco form that looks like
overlapping fabric on a ball with an exaggerated open handle. What's unusual is
the color which is IVORY (or a lovely cream) in contrast to the bright yellow or
cadet blue that you usually find with this shape. It is a 6 cup teapot and is 7
1/2" tall and 10" wide from the tip of the sput to the outside of the handle.
There is applied gold in a wide band on the round foot and inside the spout --
great accents! $65 ea
