set of 1950's or 1960's snack bowls that are an example of what I call String
Art. I'm not sure what the original craftsman called them. They are made by
winding colored twine or string around the outside of a crystal glass bowl and
are a very whimsical way to entertain your guests with snacks. This is a nested
set of 3 bowls that have string lettering that say CHIPS on the largest one,
SNACKS on the middle one, and NUTS on the smallest one. The colors are great on
this set, The bottom and in the trim is a deep jadite green and the main body
color is a golden yellow. The bowls are 7", 6" and 5" wide and the largest bowl
iw 3 1/2" deep. All of the bowls are in excellent condition which is amazing
given their age with no chips or cracks or missing string or stains

1 wonderful Mid-Century mixed media piece
that is a Fire King Glass turquoise mixing bowl set into an aluminum base with
an aluminum lid. The bowl is the Fire King Splash Proof shape which is conical
with straight sides and a little lip at the top. The bowl sits down about 70% of
its depth into the aluminum holder which also has a inverted cone foot and
nicely rounded handles made of double rolls of metal. The round lid fits over
the top of the bowl and has a knob that matches the handles on the base. This
makes a great ice bucket or simply covered serving bowl and was called a
"casserole or ice bucket" on the original packing box. It is 9" tall and 8" wide
(it is the 7 1/2" size of turquoise bowl), a couple places on
the lid look slightly pressed in

Charming Holt Howard pottery smiling DOG string holder, 5" wide and 4 1/2"
tall, there are 2 holes in the back to hang it on the way, the string comes out
his mouth and there is a black loop on the bottom off his collar where you can
hang a little scissors. I can see some darkened area inside the holder,
not sure if its from manufacture or age, you obviously can't see it when the
string holder is used, there are, of course, no chips or cracks or other
"dings", a rare find as these are much less common than the Cozy Kitten version
